Criminal Activity

A group of scions rebel against the system, create a major criminal enterprise, and are eventually taken down with prejudice.

A group of enterprising scions move outside their allotted roles and take advantage of the system to commit crimes. Extortion, theft, even the movement of some drugs. Their real rise came from when they violently took over the existing black market. Eventually the Paladian Rolmguard took them down and eliminated them.   The whole thing was notable for two reasons. First, this was probably the longest lasting organized criminal enterprise in the history of the dome. Following the rules to make sure everyone stayed alive was so entirely ingrained in society that it was rare to have larger groups of criminals. Most fell apart or were occasionally legitimized when faced with a natural disaster of some kind.   Second, while records were careful to note that it wasn't specifically all scions who participated, they were the originators of the gang. This led to tensions with regards to scions, and in the subsequent years they were treated with greater wariness than before, and kept more at arm's length. There were a lot of resources dedicated to essentially reeducating the scion population to make sure that they understood their civic responsibilities.
