Hanggameh Bir (hang-ga-meh beer)

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a starting place, and the deeper you go, the more you find how important it is.
— Basadeiian travel guide
Hanggameh Bir almost falls off the edge of most maps of Wulei Ranifa, but its importance to the Yagupa and indeed to the economic health of the area cannot be understated. This simple town is the setting off point for nearly all northern travel, and is one of the few safe points from which such a journey could be attempted.

The Only Way

Glancing at a map, it might appear as if another Yagupa settlement closer to the center point of the mountains might be more effective, but that's more a trick of the map than anything. Just out of the range of the area lies the Giraorv Mountain and with it Giridlozh Prison and its unusual and dangerous weather patterns.   Hanggameh Bir is much better situated. It also happens to be at the edge of a lake, facilitating travel to the east as well. The good relations that the Yagupa have with the Garruw allows them a great deal of freedom when it comes to travel as well.

The Town Itself

The layout of the town is divided into four districts: the Lake, the Encampment, the Lower, and the Upper districts. The Lake district deals primarily with the water and can be found next to it. The Encampment is the name for the areas of the town outside the mountain, and is typically where travelers and outsiders can be found. This is the largest and busiest segment.   The Lower and Upper districts are essentially the two halves of the permanent residents' homes. There's minimal industry as they tend to focus on trade going in and out. The Upper district is the home of the lesser classes, as it's closer to the Garruw. The Lower district is the true wealthiest area, full of elaborate designs and extensive architectural workings.
