Yukela Mountains

The Yukela Mountains cover much of Tersten's south-eastern hemisphere, protecting the Yukela region from the harsh sands of the Sahamptha Desert.  At the Yukelas eastern edge, the Degmyur Pass is considered the boundary between the Yukela Mountains, and the Pearlstone Mountains. 
The Yukelas is the oldest mountain range on Tersten, with much of its north, east, and west having been eroded away to form the regions of Greenstone Valley, Yukela, the Mapuraray Range, the Hanur Gap, and the Hawar Valley. Most of these valley regions have been settled and charted, though not in any significant number. 
There are many settlements within the Yukela Mountains, though most of them are considered small towns or villages. The largest city in the region is Mapuraray, which has become the capital of the Kingdom of Mapuraray, controlling much of the western Yukela Mountains.
