Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Kaze is very physically fit, though it seems to be just from generally moving around all the time. This may be because of his former inability to move at all. He smells like a Sphinx with a trace of human despite being human.
Body Features
Tan skin with lion like ears protruding where normal human ears would be. Furred, plantigrade legs and feet. Lion tail, clawed hands and elongated canines.
Identifying Characteristics
wrap around scars covering his arms, neck, back, and waist. They are very predominant due to repeated injury.
Physical quirks
He has a habit of raising his arms above his head when around crowds of people. It is unknown why he does this as it seems to be an unconscious response.
Special abilities
Kaze is able to produce explosions from his hands. These explosions are likely chemical in nature with his body modifying normal gasses found in the air into a combustible form. He does not have an ability to direct these explosions so he is only adept at close combat unless there are catalysts around for him to cause a chain reaction with. The size of the explosions on their own are up to 3-4 feet in diameter. Producing large diameter explosions exhausts him mentally and physically quite rapidly. At most he is able to produce 2-3 large diameter explosions before becoming completely exhausted for a number of hours. Small explosions, up to 1 foot in diameter do not seem to cause any adverse reactions or the limit to them is higher than he has had to make at a single time. It is possible that with training he could exceed his current limits but he does not seem to have a desire to do so, viewing his magic to be dangerous enough as is.
Apparel & Accessories
He has developed a kind of "skater" look, beanies, t-shirts and jeans or long shorts. He absolutely refuses to wear anything with long sleeves. It took a number of years to get him to even wear normal shirts, so no one complains.

Due to very accurate and quick reflexes he does not need weapons. He is also fireproof up to around 2000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Personal history
Kaze was sold to the Re-Evolution Project 3 days after being born. Known only as Subject 012 he spent his entire early life in the first human research facility run by The Tamil Corp where he was injected with modified Sphinx genes in hopes that the genes would activate ancient Druid magic within him. Instead his young body mutated, growing Sphinx like features. He also gained extremely volatile magic that caused explosions stemming from his hands. At the age of 3 (4,652 CA) he accidentally caused a large scale explosion during an evaluation that killed multiple scientists and destroyed a good chunk of the facility. After the incident the researchers and scientists became afraid of Kaze who was just the final straw in a myriad of other complications and progress road blocks. He spent the next few months in isolation with no tests being done and no interaction with his fellow experiments as the first facility was re-formatted to properly contain magically adept anomalies.
A personal jail was made for Kaze so that the staff of the facility could feel comfortable continuing the gene splicing without fear of backlash. The contraption was fitted around each arm which was fastened together in the back and held in place by his waist and neck. Inside the steel metal casing was a spiraling of sharpened protrusions designed to shallowly cut into his skin further keeping him from anything but small levels of movement. He was then chained inside a room with only a cot and toilet. Each day someone would come into the room to feed him and run tests, as well as continue the experimentation on his body.
He was kept in this state for 6 years (4,658 CA) until another boy unbeknownst to him went on a rampage throughout the Facility causing massive destruction. In the event Kaze's restraints were accidentally released allowing him to try and escape. The 9 year old was severely stunted however and he was not able to get far or do much more damage to the Facility until he was re-captured where he first got a glimpse of the one who had started the trouble. Seeing the much younger boy's state first put into Kaze's mind that their situation was not normal or right. This brought about a dramatic shift in his personality, where he was once rather docile if a little unpredictable he now actively caused trouble for staff. This behavior did not go his way as he was further restrained and now instead of human contact all feeding and experimentation was done remotely. The Scientists did not even adjust his restraints anymore causing the blades to permanently dig and then heal into his skin.
3 years later (4,661 CA) Kaze woke up to an obvious commotion outside his cell. Alarms were blaring and people were screaming. The door to his cell was opened and in the doorway was the boy from the previous incident covered in blood. He seemed to be out of breath but extremely calm. After a brief conversation in which Kaze agreed to help the boy and everyone else he could escape he was once again released. Kaze's skin was shredded apart as the blades of his restraints had become part of his body as it healed from constant damage, but he paid no mind to the agonizing pain. Instead he set to work, attempting to free the other experiments from a Facility now in chaos, opening doors and often exploding them to allow them a chance to escape. There were not many people left to save and he quickly found himself on a rampage, his power becoming erratic. He ends up blowing up and setting fires to just about everything he set his eyes on.
Eventually on his rampage he found a baby (Kana), whom he carried with the intent on finally fleeing but a chain reaction of events caused him to be physically thrown from the building by a large scale explosion not of his doing. By this time his wounds were starting to take a toll and he was forced to hide out in a line of trees outside to gather strength to fully escape. This is when he was found by two younger girls, Emilia and Celina. He was extremely hostile towards the girls, believing them to be affiliated with the Facility. Due to his rather severe injuries he was quickly pinned but the girls did not force him to give up and come with them, instead convincing him that they were there to help and he was free to stay or leave when he was better. Emilia also insured that the baby he'd been protecting would be safe.
Kaze did end up staying with the MICA for himself and the baby since named Kana. He has been working towards controlling what has become severe PTSD and integrating into a stable and loving environment.

Mental Trauma
Although Kaze has come a long way since being saved from the Facility he still harbors mental damage. Despite living in peace for years he is dealing with severe PTSD primarily triggered when he feels trapped.
During an episode he will become panicked, and often over reacts in an attempt to "escape" confinement. These panic attacks often spur random flares of his magic. He is going through on-going therapy for this problem, learning calming and centering techniques in order to keep from sinking into his own mind and stay current. These techniques have become instrumental in his dealing with and integrating into day to day life.

Kaze is extremely intelligent despite what he may portray on the outside. He has an uncanny knack for being a people person and getting information so he is often used to interview people. This magnetism is of course a front he developed during his early time at MICA and hides his damage from those he does not trust.

He has somewhat taken guardianship over Kana, pretty much demanding to be let take care of her. He has done an excellent job despite being so young. He views Hii and Fuki as younger siblings, also taking a great deal of responsibility in their well being. He also views Dami as a sibling or good friend.
