Genetically Altered Human (Alters)

Humans that were victims of the Human Re-Evolution Project. This is not another species but an artificial hybridization of humans and Myrae creating a human Myrae mutation that is neither and both.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Alters are all humanoid in appearance naturally but have mutations that make them appear as a Myrae using a transformation amulet ineffectively. They will often have a strange collection of features from the Myrae they were combined with but it is not standard across the board. The oddest thing about Alters is to other Myrae they do not register correctly in their senses. They either smell like a human but look like a Myrae, smell like a Myrae but look malfunctioned or just confuse the Myrae all together as they register as both at once without smelling like a hybrid. This is due to the genetics of Alters being spliced with a Myrae almost as if the Myrae scent was cloned onto a human.

Genetics and Reproduction

It is suspected that an Alter could breed with anything a human could but as the surviving alters are all underage that is not confirmed.

Growth Rate & Stages

It seems that they grow at the normal rate for a human but it remains to be seen if the genetic modifications have shortened or lengthened their lifespans.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Alter's require significantly more calories than a normal human or Myrae would require but seem to be able to thrive on anything a human or the Myrae they were spliced with could.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Alters are often able to do anything that the Myrae they were spliced with could typically do with the exception that due to being originally human the enhanced capabilities that were forced upon them have high tolls to their bodies. For example it is noted that all known Alters have enhanced movement, healing and strength but require much more calories than a normal Myrae would to do the same thing and the Alter will be heavily weakened if that level of calorie intake is not maintained which is much unlike a Myrae or Human.

History

Genetically Altered Humans come from the experimentation done by the Human Re-Evolution Project. They were once completely Human but due to the various experimentation they are now stuck in a sort of half way or partial state. Genetically Altered Humans are neither, humans, Myrae or Hybrids. They tend to have bits and pieces of whatever Myrae they were spliced with but do not resemble either or. Alters as they are also called often still register as human but some register as whatever they were spliced with depending on the level of contamination. They all have exhibited beyond human levels of magic, and abilities often being much faster, or stronger than true humans.
In the aftermath of the Tamil Corporations first research facility's destruction five Alters were rescued by MICA and now live in Sacara working under Carmen.

Kaze Lo'Near - Sphinx
Mutations: Lion ears and tail, furred Plantigrade feet, exhibits fangs and claws. It seems that he once had wings that were surgically removed in his youth.

Kana Lo'Near - Golem
Mutations: Essentially blind as her eyes do not see the present but the branches of time, elongated arms, stunted aging

Mutations: Fur along arms, legs and hips, Glassy iridescent eyes.
Magic: Magic and technology infiltration and manipulation
Hii - Daemon unknown
Mutations: Blind yet can still 'see', color changing features centered around eyes and hair

Mutations: Red eyes with slit pupils, pointed ears, elongated canines and sharp molars, markings starting from his right shoulder expanding onto his neck. Seems as if he once had horns that were surgically removed as a child.
