Terramora is home to many humanoid sentient species which fall into by five primary kinds of folk - Elfkin, Mankind, Animari, Giantfolk, and seafolk. Faefolk (beings of the Faerealm), Celestials (of the Celestial Realm), and Demonkin (of the 7 circles of Hell) can also be found on the planet as well, though they are not of the planet.
All modern elves, dark elves, and orcs are members of the classification of Elfkin. Sharing a common ancestor with the proto-elf these races and their various subraces can be found in significant portions of Terramora. Dendralis is known as the home of the Wood Elves, who reside in the
Greenwood as the
Olosse in the modern day, descended from the
Aéldelin Wood Elves of the ancient
Elderwood. The Aéldelins themselves being descended of the Old Elves, who directly descended from the proto-elves. Dendralis is also home to the Pine Elves and Jungle Elves, also descended from the Aéldelins. Dark Elves can refer to any form of elf whose corrupted their soul through a pact with some sort of powerful being, one form of which can be found in Dendralis'
Darkwood. Orcs can refer to any form of elf who has corrupted not only their soul, but their physical body through a pact with some sort of powerful being, typically receiving significantly greater physical strength as part of their corruption.
The classification of Mankind covers dwarves, goliaths, gnomes, halflings, humans, all of whom are descended from proto-man. Much has not been revealed about the world of mankind in Terramora beyond those of this class who have immigrated to Dendralis.

As opposed to the scientific classifications of Elfkin and Mankind, Anamari is an umbrella term for the humanoid species evolved from various animal species. Though these various species share more in common with their animalian cousins than each other, they all have the abilities to language and reason, and more often than not share the same bipedalism of man and elf. Similar to mankind, little has been revealed of Anamari in this world.
More to come.
Giantfolk are a mystery to the most forward scholars of Terramora. Any research on giants suggests they have been here since before the proto-man and proto-elf, despite their exceptionally human build. The existence of the Firbolg, a faetouched relative of giants, provides further evidence for the Giantfolk to be separate from mankind. Little has been revealed of these folk.
More to come.
Seafolk are similarily mysterious in their origin to the Giantfolk. Consisting of the Merfolk and Sea Elves (not actually elves), sea folk maintain much of the humanoid features while retaining the ability to exist entirely underwater. Despite the vast expanse of open waters on Terramora, Seafolk are unable to colonize much of the seas and oceans due to the violent ocean currents and vast array of seabeasts. Again, little has been revealed of the Seafolk, with
more to come.
