Land of Gods

Geography

The Land of Gods is a massive stretch of terrain from northern North America west into central Asia, mostly encompassing the glacial regions and thick forests that most mortals don't dare go near. Several frozen lakes, ponds, and rivers are encompassed by the territory, and numerous are thought to be the location of Limbo's Crossing. Multiple different biomes are present in the Land of Gods- tundra, glaciers, taiga, temperate and coniferous forests, mountains, and some plains.   Due to mortals heavily avoiding the area, it is largely untouched by civilization and left natural, the only changes to the environment being made by the gods themselves.

Fauna & Flora

The Land of Gods is home to many species not found elsewhere in the world or animals that have gone extinct in other ranges due to interaction with people.

Natural Resources

Exactly what quantity of natural resources within the territory is unknown, as much of it has not been explored or mapped in thousands of years. What is known is that plant and animal life is plentiful. The Land of Gods is almost completely devoid of agriculture entirely, with what farms there are being within or just outside the temples for local gods and solely to provide for their priests.

History

During the The War of Black Ash, much of what is now the land of gods was primarily the territory of dragons. Thanks to numerous revolts from the omnia and humans alike, the gods were able to take control of these areas as the dragons' grip on it diminished. The subsequent climate free fall that gripped the world made many of the smaller regions in it uninhabitable to most people, and thus, free reign for the gods that chose to inhabit it.   Some people still live here, although these are mostly the priests of their local gods and within the gods own temples, rather than permanent settlements and cities.
