Andron

Overview

The Androns, often referred to as the First People or the Ancestors, were the first sentient beings to inhabit the world of Teralt, created by Andromeda, the soul of the world. Renowned for their wisdom, intelligence, and deep connection to the natural order, the Androns represent the original purity of mankind and have left an enduring mark on Teralt's history.

Characteristics and Culture

Wisdom and Connection

The Androns were gifted with an innate understanding of the balance of nature and the harmonious existence of all things. They lived in accordance with principles that honored the earth, sky, and all living beings, and their civilization was marked by wisdom, peace, and a profound connection to the spiritual essence of the world.

Magical Mastery

Highly proficient in various magical arts, the Androns developed complex systems and practices that were uniquely their own. Their use of magic was harmonious and balanced, aimed at enhancing and complementing their existence rather than exploiting or dominating. Magic served as a tool to foster understanding, growth, and connection.

Fall and Transformation

The arrival of the Traveling Parent and exposure to the Ancient Elixir marked a turning point, leading to the mutation and empowerment of some Androns into the Ancients. This transformation divided the Androns and led to the eventual fall of their once-unified civilization.

Legacy

Wisdom and Influence

The Androns' wisdom and understanding of the world have left an enduring mark on Teralt, preserved in ancient scripts, artifacts, and traditions. The philosophical legacy of the Androns also became the basis for the teachings of The Church of the First Light.

Magical Legacy

Much of the Androns' magical knowledge has been lost over time. Fragments of this knowledge survive in ancient texts, artifacts, or the memories of those who preserve the teachings. The magical legacy of the Androns continues to inspire those who seek to unravel the secrets of Teralt's ancient past, such as Castor Valensra, or Mordred and his Glassvoices.

City-State Organization

The Androns lived in city-states, each with its governance, customs, and traditions. Despite unique identities, the city-states were united by shared culture and understanding, emphasizing harmony, cooperation, and mutual respect. These city-states were ruined during the The Shattering of Andromeda, and most of them were completely destroyed or swallowed by the earth and sea.   During the time of the Androns, life was near paradisical, and so each city-state devoted itself to focusing on its passions. While all Andron city-states had their fair share of magic, science, culture, and even combat sports, some locations were more concentrated than others.

Occasional Conflicts

Despite their inclination towards peace, the Androns were not immune to conflicts. Occasional clashes were resolved through diplomacy, negotiation, and mediation, guided by principles prioritizing the common good.

Conclusion

The Androns' story is a tale of creation, transformation, and legacy, representing the complexities of change and the pursuit of harmony. Their existence is a foundational aspect of Teralt's history, resonating through the ages and continuing to shape the world in tangible and intangible ways. The legacy of the Androns continues to resonate in the world of Teralt, serving as both an inspiration and a reminder of the potential for greatness inherent in all of humanity.
