Castor Valensra

Castor Valensra was an incredibly powerful and proficient mage, as well as the inadvertent head of the The Children of Castor. Being born under a blood moon granted him a strength and keen magical instinct no other mage of his time possessed. His natural prowess along with a high intellect and strong desire for power all combined to create the first leader of the group of mages later called The Kastir.
Castor nearly succeeded in ascending to godhood but was betrayed by his inner circle for various reasons.
He stormed Ancientspawn Mountain in a search for answers.
He was the “founder” of Valens, the city located beneath The Citadel.
He learned most of the Morilanic words he knows from a journal given to him by his uncle Soryn Valensra, Kaysta's father.
He learned of Resonance from Kaliferimat, who commented that Hafir must've been a fool to challenge one with such a ripple about them.
Notable achievements:
Castor invented the Orb of Absorption, which was later a component in the Scepter of Power. Orb sucks magic into itself and eventually becomes a magical singularity. Point is for mage to draw power out of it, greatly enhancing their strength. But if left alone, it's disastrous. Castor sealed away Ancient Kaliferimat, known as the Willer of Wishes. Castor sealed away Ancient Masragot, known as the Betrayed Beguiler and the Looker Ancient. Castor collected the Mask of Malice / Malignant Mask, the creation of which was an indirect result of his interactions with Kalferimat. Mask grants incredible physical power but corrupts the mind. A villager wishes for the power to defend his village. Ends up with the mask. Kills all monsters. Then kills all villagers. Castor created the King’s Gauntlet, destroying the Godhand in the process. The passphrase to the Gauntlet is "Kaysta Valensra." Castor created Castor’s Vault by studying Kesh's Lockbox. The passphrase to the Vault is "Sailia". Though his ascension was prevented, Castor is regarded as the God of Magic and Father of Magic throughout much of society. It is disputed whether or not he replaced Seryana, the previous Goddess of Magic, as she has not been seen since. Castor inadvertently founded the Children of Castor, which has endured into modern times as the Kastir. Castor created the Ring of Remorse, an item that would force an Ancient to experience its victims’ miseries. Notably, this does not work on non-evil Ancients. He deemed this item a failure. Castor escaped magical imprisonment twice. Castor created the first of the Mi’Lar. Castor created the Ka'Shil. Castor created Transmogriphites. Castor expelled his depression from his body, turning it into a living creature. He did not expell his insomnia. He saw his insomnia as a way to work more. Castor created the Ascension Ritual, which he was never able to use, and which was used by others. Users include Erlich Gottlis, original Prym’Teev, and Mordred. Castor coined the term, "The Curse of Grand Intellect", which was later turned into a real curse. "I pray you grow to be so intelligent you realize the pointlessness of life."Artifacts
