Ancient

Description

Ancients are beings that are physically very powerful and have the ability to cast magic without incanting Morilan. Some are incredibly gifted with magic, but even those that aren’t are still stronger than average mages of any other species. Ancients don't give birth to new Ancients, and rarely mingle with other races long enough to reproduce with them, as most see themselves above all others. Many of them also don’t get along with each other, but try to avoid conflict. Ancient blood causes purple Ancientblood flowers to bloom where it lands. This is why Ancientspawn Mountain (later Mount Saint Kahl) is covered in them– the Giant Ancient was impaled on the mountain during the war with the gods.

Appearance

They don't all look the same, but generally share similar features such as gray or charcoal skin, solid black, white, or red eyes, 7-11 feet matured height, pointed nails, and occasionally bones growing out of their skin. They have two regenerating hearts.

History

Ancients are mutated humans that indulged in the Ancient Elixir. The strongest of the Ancients were exposed to more of the Elixir, some having bathed in it, whether on purpose or by accident, but are also generally more corrupt.
