Seren Vellatroux

Seren Vellatroux was a brilliant arcanist and former court scholar who founded the Lyceum of the Pale Sanctum in 812 AR, shortly after the Mornish reclaimation of Othvarand. Disillusioned by the Crown’s use of magic as a tool of conquest, Seren withdrew from politics and spent years in the ruins of Crodeux , uncovering fragments of an Imperial Celestiarchivum academy.

She believed the Spiral Archives beneath the city held not just forgotten spells, but the foundations of lawful arcana—a way to restore balance between mortal will and the world’s deeper patterns. Seren vanished under mysterious circumstances in 837 AR, leaving behind sealed writings and a school that still follows her vision, but not always her habit of throwing caution to the wind.
