Lotus Princes
To the east of the Mornlands, beyond mountains and inland seas, lies the land of the Lotus Princes, a collection of warring principalities bound by ancient custom, sacred bloodlines, and an ever-shifting web of alliances and betrayals. Though their rulers are divided, they share a common enemy in the Mornish Kingdom, whom they see as foreign tyrants seeking to impose their faith and feudal order upon a land of warrior-kings and divine right.
For generations, wars have flared between the Lotus Princes and the Mornish border lords, with neither side able to claim final victory. The Mornish see them as heretics and decadent rulers clinging to old ways, while the Lotus Princes view the Mornlanders as invaders who do not understand the true nature of rulership, war, or the gods.
