My Dearest Alladin

Part of a letter recovered in a chest at the bottom of a pile of crates and boxes in an old warehouse owned by the Merchant and Sailors' Guild, it was taken to The Bardic College Campus for study and authentication by a curious officer named Marcus. The college immediately purchased it from him at a price that would have afforded him his own ship were he dishonest enough to lie to his guild about remuneration. As it was, he took the cart full of gold stiltons, minus the money it took to purchase the cart and an ox to draw it, right on back to his guild's home offices; a bar in the harbor town of Greynor. The Guild took and invested the money in a new ship themselves, set up their most senior captain aboard, and assigned the former Second Mate, Marcus, to the ship as bo's'n, a significant promotion!
