Mr. Charles Evert Scott (a.k.a. Evert)
A railway engineer on the TransPax Luxury Coach Company, Charles grew up around trains at a slave-like mine in Greendell Valley, but his parents were some of the lucky ones. They managed to scoop him up and run before they ended up a pod on the monstrosity known as The Galbrok Tamarind.

Personal history
Charles' youth as a slave was miserable, until his parents (set free from The Necrodruid's control by Zuggtmoy, managed by wit and by a lot of luck to survive an escape with their child. Evert thereafter grew up amongst an enclave of elves who had one of the vaunted Singers residing there for a time. It was a close call, and he saw terrible things as it unfolded, and if not for the Singer, he would havbe perished from his injuries and the damage done to his young mind. As it is, he lives joyous, happy, and free from the haunting dreams and illusory images flitting across his line of sight.
