Boreal Division
The Grey Council employs different military assets as needed, deploying them in a brutally effective manner, and the Boreal Division is one such asset. Dressed head to toe in armor powered by magic, these incredibly powerful soldiers are the guards at the Fulmand Wall. They are hulking, topping eight feet tall in their plating and panoply, yet move with the grace and ease of a large cat. They carry glaive, gladius, and crossbow, infantry style, but these soldiers specialize in defensive armaments. They rarely speak, and when they do they are all remarkably similar sounding, as if they are using some type of voice modulation. They mostly communicate by pointing, motioning with their heads, or using short, cursory sentences. No skin is visible, instead glowing seams demarcate differing pieces of their power armor.

Culture
Revering absolute disipline, soldiers in the Barrier Guard observe a strict hierarchical chain of command, following orders without question, hesitation, or dissent. Daily routines, such as armor maintenance and combat drills, are carried out with religious fervor and the precision only available to real perfectionists.
Gestures and subtle movements are the primary means of interaction between the Ironclad, this shared "language" building a deep sense of trust and comaraderie. They are a brotherhood in silence, unified in a lack of visible individuality. They have fostered a sense of collective purpose, thusly; individuals that are part of a greater whole.
The Division's fealty to the Grey Council is absolute, viewing their orders as coming from an almost divine authority. They consider emotions distractions; soldiers are trained to suppress fear, anger, and even joy to maintain focus. They are expected to maintain a selfless devotion to the order, the council, and the wall.
Barrier Guards rarely, if ever, take their armor off in front of other people, believing that to be seen unarmored is to be seen as without purpose. This is only one of their esoteric traditions, which also include ascension ceremonies, promotion rites, and silent eulogies.
Public Agenda
They are the guardians of civilization, defenders of the Fulmand Wall. Symbols of stability, they are symbols of stability and inspirations to other forces throughout The City of the Lights. They are exemplars of discipline and unity, loyal enforcers of the Grey Council's will. They are known to be relentless, and unyielding, and limit their public interaction, which increases the sense of mystique surrounding them.
