Sirimiri Amakiir

Ms. Sirimiri Amakiir (a.k.a. Miri)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

At first glance, it's very easy to dismiss Miri as inexperienced and frail, but make no mistake, she's nowhere near as fragile as she might come across as. Much of her life has been devoted to healing but Miri still possesses the prowess to take on foes (albeit nothing compared to a proper fighter).

Body Features

Her human ancestry granted her a light skin tone that tans easily, and her elven heritage secured her a slender frame and graceful demeanour. She's not particularly tall, and she's easily overlooked if not for her hair colour.

Facial Features

She has the typical pale, flawless, complexion of her heritage, and it's not unusual for people to assume she's younger than her age.

Identifying Characteristics

No birthmarks, piercings, or tattoos to speak of, but she's easily identified by the colour of her hair. Her elven ancestry is visible in her eyes and her pointy ears. (She's not opposed to the idea of getting a tattoo, however).

Physical quirks

Miri was raised a cleric, and thus believes she should look the part, with a straight posture and her head held high. When uncertain, anxious, or otherwise troubled, Miri will wrap her fingers around the Bahamut pendant around her neck.

Apparel & Accessories

She values practicality above fashion and prefers simple attires to lavish ones. If she is allowed to indulge, however, she will often pick soft fabric that feels nice against her skin, and colours that are pale or muted.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born as the illegitimate child of Valeriu Deac, patriarch of the substantial noble human Deac family, and his wood elf servant and mistress, Birel. The pregnancy was kept a secret, and Valeriu's wife might have suspected something (as all wives do), but before she could make something out of her suspicion, the half-elf baby was already dropped off at the temple stairs.   The child grew up with the other orphans, and became a devout follower of Bahamut as she was influenced by the half elven cleric, Himo. Himo was as much of a parental figure as she could have gotten, and over time, she became his most eager student. Himo's teachings gave her the foundation of her world view and opinions, and whenever she's confused or conflicted, she goes back to his lectures and examples.   The outside world is scary, and if not for Himo, she would have been content to live her life inside the walls of Lavatisbra. As it were, Himo would take her along on journeys to the city west of the capital, and other smaller villages in the surrounding areas.   Her first non-clergy friend came in the shape of a tiefling rogue fleeing from their past. It was such a breath of fresh air that Miri found herself drawn to them, and their friendship only deepened over time.   Reaching the age of twenty, she was certain she had found her calling in life. Becoming a life domain cleric like her mentor was a breeze, and nothing can seemingly shake her faith in Bahamut. Fast forward ten years, and Himo has a favour to ask of her. There's a relic - a book said to be written by Bahamut himself! - that she must find. The exact location is unknown, but by reading the actions and omens around her, Bahamut will no doubts lead her there. (And of course, it doesn't hurt spreading the faith to the villages she visits).   But why her and not Himo himself? He wouldn't say, only push and urge her along.

Gender Identity

Cis female

Education

Grew up in the temple of the capital (grand temple of Tyr and Ilmater), and received cleric education from a very young age. While she considers herself an intellectual, there's no denying that her education has had a heavy religious influence.

Failures & Embarrassments

Successfully pickpocketed by the halfling Olvia, who pretended to be a small child (the gold was later recovered).

Mental Trauma

Arachnophobic(!!), was later spooked by facing three clerics of Tiamat for the first time in her life

Intellectual Characteristics

Philosophical, intrapersonal, interpersonal

Morality & Philosophy

Follows Bahamut's dogma;
Bahamut is very stern and disapproving of evil. He accepts no excuses for foul deeds. On the other hand, he is very compassionate, and has boundless empathy for the weak and downtrodden. He urges his followers to promote good, but to let people fight their own battles when they can, providing healing, information, or temporary safe refuge rather than fighting alongside those who can fight for themselves.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Aspires to one day become the religious leader of the grand temple of Tyr and Ilmater in Lavatisbra.

Virtues & Personality perks

Patient to a fault, altruistic, gentle and kind

Vices & Personality flaws

Dogmatic in her belief, gullible, inexperienced regarding the world outside Lavatisbra

She has a habit of always seeking a hand to hold, typically one belonging to the group.

Episode 2. SPIDERS
ep2, spiders

Dear Himo,   I write to you again as per your request in keeping you updated, though I do not think I will have anything relevant to write down. My quest remains unchanged, I have yet to get wind of any clues regarding Bahamut's relic, but that does not deter me. You taught me to be stubborn and patient, for gods do not act on the whims of mortals so who knows how long it will take before Bahamut will grant me a lead. I am in no rush, however, and I try to focus on guiding my adventurer friends on the small and narrow. (If it is not too bold of me, I want to note that Alaric Kerensky is making it rather difficult. He is coloured by his past and sees the world through a fighter's eyes - but he is a good man, I see it in his eyes).   Our latest quest lead us down into the cellars of a brewery. The owner experienced a loss of a worker and wanted us to investigate. Himo, you know my fears better than myself, so no doubts you will be amused to learn that we found a cave of spiders connected to the brewery. We encountered several spiders(!! :C) but eventually made it back out. I am sure Bahamut was guiding us every step of the way, knowing how much I dislike those creatures.   Though when we came back, we were told that almost everyone at the guild had gathered north, and then we were given a writ that is way further north than what I have ever been. I would tell you where we are going, but Noyade Crowfeather said that if someone gets hold of these letters they might show up there and attack us. I think it is a silly thought; who would want my letters? They are all addressed to you after all, so it is not like someone else might mistake them for a letter to them.   Regardless, I hope you are doing well. Give my love to Ileana and Orik!   Bahamut's blessings, Sirimiri

Episode 1. Thus it begins

Dear Himo,   I hope you and Orik are doing well at the Temple. It feels like I have barely left to start my quest, but I miss you all terribly already. As much as I know the relic is sacred and must be recovered, I cannot wait to be back with you all. I feel foolish for being so homesick without having even left Lavatisbra, but I promise to do my best and make you all proud regardless of my feelings. I was told I am acting with Bahamut's blessing, and so I will see this through.   Do you remember Noyade Crowfeather They are still with me :) I have also talked about Alaric Kerensky and Rolando de la Vega in my previous letters, and we have formed a sort of team now. I should perhaps stress that we have, in fact, been made official adventurers of the guild, and we were sent out on our very first mission not that long ago.   It was an interesting mission: we were sent to fetch a mana crystal, but the owner of the crystal would not relinquish it before we had taken care of a problem of his. It turns out he had a painting he needed help with, and it is not like we could just leave without helping, so we assisted and returned with the crystal.   At the end of it, however, Noya was gifted with an amulet by "a little birdie" which seemed to unsettle them. I hope it is not the past that it is coming for them, for I will not let Noya be dragged back to misery >8C   Give my love to Ileana, tell her that I miss her a lot!   Bahamut's blessings, Sirimiri
