Harkom is a country that supposedly lies in the far East of the Infinite Sands. It is the homeland of the Settlers who stranded on the peninsula of Teel, which marks the beginning of the new calendar.1. Geography and Biomes
It is believed that Harkom is inhabitable by now, which can not be proven at this point, for the last contact between Settlers and Harkom lies about 120 years in the past. The dry tundra of Harkom left no room for any agricultural economy in the last century, which lead to a series of attempts to cross the Ago Sea and find a new home beyond the borders of the continent. The crew of the Sun (now called Settlers) are the only known survivors of these adventurous attempts to leave Harkom.2. Culture
One of the most prominent remains of the old Harkom culture is the modern information system in the Free City of Teel. The Harkom Settlers introduced written culture and printing culture to the Free City of Teel, allowing every citizen to learn about history, science, art and technology. The Harkom Herald comes every other Wave to inform people about the latest developments and happenings.Vegetarianism
People from Harkom and their descendants are traditionally vegetarians. Domestic animals are kept for their products, such as eggs, milk and honey. The Free City of Teel only hosts one market where Juru are able to trade meat and fish, otherwise the consumption of meat is rather unwelcome in the capital.
