Philip Drummond
Major Philip Oliver Drummond
Philip Oliver Drummond was born in Southampton, England on May 7th, Y69. He attended Breckenried Grammar School before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Drummond saw action both in Afghanistan and the Middle East.
In mid-Y94, Drummond was named 'first equerry' to Prince Sebastian I, then Duke of Cambridge, just before Sebastian's first solo trip to Canada. Though Drummond initially protested the assignment, following the Prince's return to the United Kingdom, Drummond asked if he could remain in the Prince's service. On 18th of February, Y100, Major Drummond had the unenviable responsibility of waking Sebastian to inform him that his father, King George VII had died.
Drummond has stayed with the now king since his initial assignment.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Philip was born in Southampton, to Dennis and Lizzie, on May 7th, Y69.
His father was also in the British Army, serving in the Queen's Company of the Grenadier Guards, the senior infantry division of the British Army.
Philip served in Afghanistan as a captain. Drummond saw combat during joint US, UK operations as well as in the Middle East, with the Rifles.
On 10, July Y94 was promoted to the rank of Major and given the temporary assignment as 'first equerry' to the Queen's great grandson, Prince Sebastian. In private, Drummond complained that he did not attend officer training or spend months in combat zones to take care of the Prince's diary. He was an officer in Her Majesty's military, not a secretary. His assignment was scheduled to end upon Prince Sebastian's return from Canada.
During the trip, the Prince made quite the impression on Major Drummond. Upon the return, Drummond requested the transfer be made permanent.
Sexuality
Drummond is a heterosexual man. He has had several romantic entanglements though he's often found that his career makes longer term relationships. When his family found out that he would be stationed more permanently in London, his mother implied that this could lead to more permanent relationships. To start, Philip hoped for the same, but quickly found that round the clock service was not conducive to romance.
Employment
Major Drummond served with distinction in the middle east and Afghanistan, before becoming the first equerry to Prince Sebastian.
Morality & Philosophy
At first, when he found out that the Prince is gay, he was distressed that this was quiet a large secret and he was worried that if and when it got out, he'd be one of the first to be blamed. Soon he came to find the Prince's reticence as endearing and found himself wanting to assist and protect the young Prince. This eventually lead to Drummond even assisting Sebastian in vetting his occassional trysts.
