Diplomatic action
This morning Anne sent me a note - through Drummond - telling me about some fake things she "heard" about. Her goal was to see if he reads the note, if he'll correct it. Or how much of our "exploits" get back to London
Surprisingly, I received the note with commentary from him, not exactly correcting Anne but offering his own knowledge also. He also directly asked me if I want him reporting to the Firm.
I told him he's my equerry. I get to decide what London learns. I then flat out asked him if he's on my side or the Firm's. He said "The Queen appointed me as the Prince's Equerry and ally. I serve you, sir."
For now I believe him, but you can't spell believe without lie so I'll remain cautious until he proves himself.
