Aldun Geim Turaal (a.k.a. Old Ali)

Aldun sat with his old pipe watching Mali read her notes, he puffed an occasional smoke ring and idley stroked his beard, he love this inn it was quiet and friendly and nothing ever happened to hinder his peaceful existence. His clan folk might love their forges and mountains, but he loved this village for its charming existence and he would defend it with his last breath if the occasion ever arose, which he mused would hopeful never be needed.

Aldun is a Stoneborn who makes his home in the little hamlet of Pitchel, upon the southern coast of Crescent Island. He lives his life happily and contently as a shopkeeper and patron of the local inn. He helps wherever he can and is well loved by his community, known for his smile and jovial laugh he is consider everyone’s friend. He is a remarkably normal person who is content to live out his years in peace with a pipe and a pint of ale in his hand.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Aldun despite his slow pace is actually very hardy and quite the capable warrior. Broad of shoulder and heavy set like most of his race.

Skin is pale grey with quartz like veins of white running across his body and face, other than this he is your atypical stoneborn.

Facial Features

Large bushy grey beard streaked with white, his eyes are a deep pale blue of diamond. His nose is broad as his mouth that is usually set in a welcoming smile.

He is train as most dwarves are in the Battle Axe and Shield, both of which he has stored in his house along with a chainmail tunic. He knows how to use most martial weapons and is consider a competent fight by the villagers.

Personal history

Aldun has lived in Pitchel most of his adult life, he roamed the world a lot in his early life feeling at odds with the ways of his clan and just wanting to find somewhere to live out a peaceful life.

Eventually he ended up in the small village that he now resides, he has lived an unremarkable life and he is happy with this, he is content to tend his small garden and sell the fish that he buys from the local fishermen. He has seen the village grow from an Inn and a few cottage to the hamlet that it now is.

He know everyone in Pitchel, can remember the day most of them were born, in fact he can remember the day most of their grandparents were born, the villagers see him as an uncle who has always been there for them no matter what the seasons bring.

Education

Aldun being of the Stoneborn has lived a long life in that time he has received military combat training, learnt how to sail, travelled the world and seen virtually everywhere, he knows a thing or two about everything and is a wealth of general knowledge and old wives tales.

Employment

Currently the proprietor of Pitchel local fishmongers, Aldun spends his day stocking shop displays and talk to customers about the latest gossip, selling is more of a secondary thing since he has a small fortune tucked away. The shop does relatively well as he has virtually no competition and his prices are fair, and his joyful laughter and small talk makes it hard not to buy things from him.

Aldun's only known achievement in Pitchel is blowing some extremely large smoke rings, that and being the oldest person in the area, though that’s not exactly an achievement considering his heritatge.
