Rune

Runes are a means of insribing a material with maiga to give typically defensive boons to the object it has been carved into. Notably, they can affect material that doesn't generally conduct maiga well. They are usually done using the Dunturan alphabet, as the ancient language has more affinity with maiga than modern Tarsan. Once inscribed, they require replensishment of maiga to continue to function. This can be applied either by a shaper, a powerful charger, or through the use of a maiga harness.
