Dragons
Dragons are rumoured to have existed before recorded history, amassing the world's wealth in great hoards and knowledge in sprawling libraries. Gargantuan reptilians with four limbs and two wings, dragons were said to be carnivores with a voracious appetite. They were also supposedly powerful shapers, rivaling the likes of ancients. No evidence of their existence exists today, nor has it for the thousands of years since civilization has started recording history and the passing of time and likely not before then either. Some speculate that a war with the ancients saw the dragons wiped out, others say that the dragons evolved into ancients over time and their hoards lost to time and looters. Kroll are the main keepers of the legend of dragons, claiming to be their decendants and drawing numerous similarities between themselves and their supposed prehistoric kin. The kroll are also the race most active in the pursuit of evidence of dragons, launching numerous paleontological expeditions across Tarsis. Kroll will sometimes depict The Pantheon as draconic beings rather than the humanoids that they usually are shown as, though the other races doubt the sincerity of this notion, puting it to wishful thinking on the part of the kroll.
