Ancient

Creatures that were once considered myth, ancients are considered nature's avatars, as they sow their elements wherever they go. And they go where they please, for no mountain, sea, or settlement has stopped the advance of any of these giants. Though peaceful, they inspire both awe and fear in those who witness them, as their presence borders on ethereal; quaking the earth with their steps, visible in distant mist or debris clouds created with their presence, eyes aglow with power. Ancients are easily Tarsis' greatest Shapers. Studies aimed at these beings need to be careful, as while peaceful in nature, ancients are remorseless in their vengeance. There has yet to be a recorded incident where a victim of an ancient's attack has had any remains recovered, let alone survived.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Ancients are ursine in form, though tower over settlement walls and have never been observed to be knocked down by outside force. They incorporate the dominant local element into their forms (eg twisting, flowing vines in dense vegetation or spikes of ice in tundra) and spread local life in their wake.
