Commando Pod
The primary deployment method of Diezen commandos, commando pods are small groups of mechans, and rarely Diezen cultists, designed to cause as much confusion, panic, and destruction as possible either in advance, support, or lieu of an invasion by a full Diezen Raiding Party. Survivors of commando pods tend to be gravely shaken by the violence witnessed, and the knowledge that their survival was entirely due to the Diezens wishing there to be someone to spread more panic than a corpse could manage.
Composition
Manpower
Pods can vary in size from a three mechan kill team to a more involved fifteen individual strong operation. Cultists with appropriate skills will rarely be assigned to a pod, as their capabilities pale in comparison to a Diezen commando, though still have merrit as extra bodies to perform critical actions.
Weaponry
Eight-inch steel knives are a signature weapon for Diezen commando pods, used to silently dispatch living targets either up close or being thrown at a distance. Energy blade knives, suppressed submachine guns, heavy revovlers, fragmentation grenades and smoke grenades are all standard issue for commando mechans, where cultist members of the pod will be equipped with whatever they have experience with. Higher grade explosives might be issued depending on mission.
Tactics
Commando pods do their fell work in the dark, be that in sewers, alleyways, or, most commonly, in the dead of night. They will assassinate key targets, murder anyone unfortunate enough to be in the way or even merely on the way, and destroy any targets designated, ideally before any awareness of their presence raises an alarm. Upon discovery, they will either fight openly if their objective has yet to be completed, or fade into the shadows if they completed their tasks. They will prioritize easy kills in open combat, working their way up from living targets to structures to mechans to combat vehicles.
