Diezen Cultist
Living followers of Angor's Diezens, cultists make up a bulk of the Diezen logistics chain and more than a few of their fighting force. Seen as utterly disposable by most of the Diezen mechans, their lives are dictated by their usefulness to the Diezens, usually killed outright when their usefulness is outlived. They are generally led by The Black Apostle rather than Angor himself, as the latter is more likely to kill them than give them orders while the former sees value in the cultists and nurtures them into a coherent force both on and off the field of battle, though failures are still punished severely. Cultists generally gather, build, fight, and die for the Diezens, usually in a desperate attempt to keep themselves alive after finding themselves trapped by Diezens during a raid or unfortunate coincidence. Some actively seek out service under Angor, and it is these derranged individuals who make the most frightening warriors and devotees. One major advantage the cultists present is that they complicate the Altean Army's mission of the preservation of life, as most weapons that can stop a mechan will be highly lethal to most intelligent life. However, these cultists themselves seek to claim lives, so a delicate approach to subdue Diezen cultists is forced on the Alteans.
