Mechan

A blanket term used to describe automatons of any type, though they are typically built using mechanical parts, which lead to the name. The Altean Army and Angor's Diezens make extensive use of, and have the most advanced, mechans, containing the full range of human emotion in some cases. Most of the time, however, mechans are simple-minded machines built for their task, which they complete so long as they are fueled with Maiga and supplied with a Matrix Maigum.

Anatomy

While mechans can take any shape, the closer to the humanoid form they are made, the easier it is to route maiga through their bodies. As a result, most mechans that are made will have a head and a pair of both arms and legs on a variably shaped body. Altean and Diezen mechans also incorporate a Maiga Harness in their chests to maintain near constant functionality.
