Energy Blade

A technology that shares much in common with the maigun, energy blades cover a range of weapons and tools that use concentrated maiga from a charge through a focusing lens to emit a constant cutting beam, or blade, of energy. There are two general designs of energy blades; those that emit from a simple handle in an approximation of a sword or knife, and those that run along a groove on a tool or weapon, such as the energy hatchets of Angor's Diezens or the blade portion of the Judicator. While powerful, their use has to be carefully managed, as they are very maiga hungry and drain charges quickly.
