Meltorythe Styvalhyme declares the Elynthi an evil aberration that blights the beauty of the The Soulmeliti Forests.1 He implements a policy of racial purification: genocide for the Elynthi. Although the policy has little effect in the first years, most Elynthi flee behind Naz'Asketon's walls in fear.
1 Scholars have debated for centuries as to the rationale behind this decree. Some say that Tyloma visited him in a dream while others blame the spurning of Meltorythe by an Elynthi woman. Both theories represent the extremes of a range of speculation. No proof exists as to the cause of the decree.
