Zharn Delante III
Zennonaize Dono
How does the monarch become a mere supporting character in the drama that defines not one but two nations? Despite his demand - and the reward he offered for the General's ears - that the rebel General Zantak be brought to justice, the Dono Zharn Delante III features very little in this fascinating tale. Even his decree came well after the Zantak established a reputation as hero of the serfs. The Dono features in the conclusion of the tale, of course, when he pays the hero Kelkantin, granting him lordship over the region around the River Sind where Gartcha would be built. But beyond these two acts, few remember anything about the poor Dono's reign.
