Three-Fingered Sal

Master Forger

Sal got his nickname after an accident in Rathgar's fish pickling facilities left him short one finger on each hand as a teenager. Unable to keep up on the line after the accident, he was fired, and seemed destine to fall even lower on the social strata than the measly rung to which he was born. Desperate for coin, he took his childhood penchant for art and laboriously trained his mutilated hands to mimic any stroke. Having perfected his art, the Azermathian Alliance quickly found uses for him and he now lives in a third-story apartment in central Rathgar, a vast library of reference material, dozens of various inks, and nearly a hundred different types parchment at his disposal. Like other members of the alliance, he keeps pigeons on his rooftop for correspondence with his fellows across the subcontinent and has been know to deliver his special messages as far away as Drakkar and Warwick. Recently he has begun to experiment with wax and soft metals, making a fair approximation of a number of important signets for sealing messages.

With greasy, curly hair and beady dark eyes, Sal gets his name from the missing index fingers on each of his hands. Undaunted by his missing digits, he has mastered the art of forgery and, via his flock of birds, sends his missives throughout Azermathia.
