Society of the Sacred Shadow - Gartchan Coven
Rumors of the dark activities of this society, including a series of ritual murders a century ago, still float through the city of Gartcha. Over the years, the rumors have become more insidious, tying the Prince's family closely to the Society. While it is true that the Temple of the Night is the largest in Tarien, and the High Priestess herself resides in the city, all official communications from the church deny the existence of the society. Still, unlike Azermathia, where rumors of the Society have spread, the public denials by the church have only lead people to suspect their neighbors of sneaking into the darkness, donning cowls, and conducting rites that would make most cringe.
