Renshakalin Shal'Vorka
Elynthi Guard Captain
Resnshakalin, or Renshi as his friends and close relations call him, comes from a proud, yet distant branch of the Vorka clan. He knows that his bloodline will never move him any closer to the inner circle of his family than a low ranking officer in a guard detail. This fact has not, however, dissuaded him from pursuing his swordsmanship live a cat obsessed. In his nearly two centuries of service to the clan, since coming of age, he has earned a reputation as a cunning warrior and fine commander.
Unlike most Elynthi, his curiosity extends to the workings of other cultures. Whether this is because he seeks some advantage against the rest of Tarien or he is truly fascinated with the workings Humans, Khadra, and even, almost blasphemously Nerrid, it has earned him a reputation as both a font of knowledge and a strange cat. His desire to learn has allowed him to travel widely as one of the few volunteers for foreign missions and he has acquired a dozen tongues and willingly approaches strangers to initiate conversations. His knowledge of other cultures can be seen is his fighting style, as well, blending the low cuts of a Khadra with the powerful throws of a Flind into the graceful dance of his blades.
Chatty and always interested in foreign cultures, Renshi, as his friends call him, is on his fourth trip abroad. In the two centuries since he began serving his family, he has risen to a Captain, likely the highest rank he will attain given his bloodline's proximity to the central figures of the Vorka Family.
