Despite many years of meditation, his elders note that his soul was unable to cleanse itself of ill-will toward his species ancient enemeies, the Kari-Zaro. Ultimately, he never overcame this failing, falling to one of those same Kari-Zaro, a monk named Malakshan in a duel.
