Marin Styvalhyme

Soulmeliti Martyr

Marin was one of the most polarizing Soulmeliti in history. Her murder of the Elynthi turncoat, Rengé Shal'Ashen caused a sensational uproar during the Great War, with half of the population aghast at her actions and the other half applauding them. It was with a grim face that her cousin, the Forestspeaker Vernal Styvalhyme read the verdict at her trial and the sentence to hang shocked most of the Soulmeliti Forests who thought that because of her young age - she was only 82 - she would escape the noose. No one knows who slipped her the hemlock that used to take her own life the night before her execution was scheduled, but the even the most war hardened Soulmeliti were glad that someone did.
