Though he is not tall, Captain Hugo generally stands straight in his neatly pressed uniform of blue and gold. With piercing black eyes and closeicut short hair to match, he does present a dashing figure despite his lack of imposing size.
The captain often plays with his handlebar mustache, twirling it while thinking about whatever the problem of the day might be. Stationed in Gartcha, one of the few permanent officers on staff with the 12th Eldorian Legion, he is used to dealing with a constant flow of young, unproven officers whose father's purchased their commission and soldiers looking for a place that offers steady meals and roof over their heads. His expectations are not very high for this group and in general, he assumes that nothing can be accomplished without his direct supervision, often in the form of a verbal barrage. This belief has bled into his expectations in general. He believes that most will fail in their duties - not intentionally of course, but because they lack the hardening the life of a career soldier can give them. When others - either under his command or in the general population - successfully complete a task without his micromanaging and berating he is honestly surprised and surprisingly grateful.
