Great Plague
First afflicting Orks in the shadow of the Frosted Mountains, the Great Plague left fear and death in its wake for over over a century. Victims of the plague first showed brown and purple welts on their skin which spread until their entire bodies looked like a bruise. Their eyes and other glands began to swell shortly thereafter. Gasping for breath they died, usually less than a denary after first showing symptoms, their eyeballs impossibly large and protruding from their skills. It was said that no means of magical healing could cure a victims and that once someone showed symptoms, they were already dead. it spread southward, into the Soulmeliti Forests and then the Inner Seas, killing an estimate quarter of the population before it mysteriously disappeared in 1456 BC. Scholars today still have little clue as to its origins or demise.
