Father Bertrand

Mennithite Preacher

One of the original members of the conservative cabal that took over the Mennith Churchin 483 AC, Father Bertrand is infamous for his fiery rhetoric, especially concerning the "faithless" and "fawn-loving" Soulmeliti. There are some that claim he lead the rioters himself that strung up the Soulmeliti merchants and their families that just happened to be traveling through Mennith when the cabal took power. The Church, of course, has always denied knowledge of his direct intervention, claiming only that the "soulless" received Justice for their sins of usury and unfair profiteering. In his later years, Father Bertrand took his pulpit up and down the Trans-Rheuthengage Highway, stopping to stump for denaries at a time. He disappeared in Dalencroft mysteriously after nearly a decade of such evangelism.
