Ernst Istenaur
Artist
A portrait artist of some repute, Ernst was active in the Kingdom of Galencia during the early part of the 7th Century, AC. His works include a wide variety of Galencian nobles and merchants of the era. Known for his use of rich colors and short, thick brush strokes, his use of light and shadow particularly captured the heart of many Khadra. He spent a dozen years in New Solarin, completing a series of clan portraits, and landscapes - both above and below ground - for a healthy commission. He travelled widely across the Eldorian Sea in his later years, taking up residence for several seasons in Ithsaman and Phelandria before arriving in Pendril in time to witness the unveiling of the Incontrovertible Edicts. His piece, "The Five Masked Lords" is the only known rendition of the Lords, though historical scholars remain skeptically that it is anything but fancy. Rumors that a Judgement levied against Istenaur when he disappeared in few years after the piece was unveiled have never been substantiated or fully quelled.
