The Baron is one of The Grand Duchy's most outspoken and secular nobles - a combination that has spelt disaster for many like-minded nobles in its history. Emit, however, with his good looks and charming laugh, seems to know just where the line of blasphemy lies and stays on its right side. Despite his dislike for the church, however, he is indeed a devout man. He strives to maintain justice and honor, just not the justice and honor of the established church which he feels has lost its way.
He is also helped by the fact that he is immensely wealthy. While usually found conducting business in Mennith, he tries to escape to his country estates as often as he can. It is here, with his prize herds of horses and castles, that he is most at home. He can often be found on the back of his favorite steeds, cutting an impressive profile while wrangling steers or racing on the horse track he had built near the manor.
