There are those who say that Sofia's fiery red hair - with its tufts sticking straight out from her head where its color darkens to black - is the result of some vain alchemic process. Other say she simply dies it with gooseberry. Whatever the case, its impossible to miss her tall, willowy figure in any crowd, especially with the loose smock, stained with paint, that she wears to even the most formal occasion. Not that one would find Sofia in many formal occasions or crowds unless she was trying to secure funding to purchase another piece or twisted metal or paint splattered canvas that she considers art from a wealthy sea captain or merchant. More likely you would find her holed up in the Museum of the Mad Mariner, patching another leak in the roof or muttering to herself as she tries her own hand at whatever artist form has caught her fancy this denary.
Those that know her well have learned to practice patience in any conversation as her mind races from topic to topic, ignoring all social niceties and seemingly incapable of comprehending the meaning of "segue". Those with the patience to sort through the litter of her mind claim there is a treasure trove of knowledge. She has, at various times in her life, worked a dozen different jobs, read and instantly memorized hundreds of books, and of course, seems to have a direct path into the unconscious thoughts of Jendredi. Indeed, the most faithful followers of the Lady of Many Moods have claimed to see Sofia's eyes glaze over on several occasions and heard the voice of their goddess directly through her lips.
