Briqbex the Magnificent
Chef to the Winter Queen
Over the years, the Satryr's fur has faded from red to a distinguished iron gray but his well muscled torso remains the envy of even the hardiest of Human soldiers. Stout and straight backed despite his age, Briqbex has long dexterous fingers that can pick the finest melodies on a harp and finely dice the most stubborn of vegetables. It was his nose, however, that lead him to his chosen profession as a chef. Able to detect the slightest scents with a single whiff, he has honed his skills in the culinary arts to a razor fine edge.
Briqbex has the distinction of being the finest chef in all of Tarien. Over his five hundred years of life he has served Soulmeliti nobles, Eldorian emperors, and fey queens. It was his service to the last, one fine Yuletide evening some two and half centuries ago, that garnered him the greatest glory and deepest sorrow. So fine was the feast that he prepared for Mayve Snowbound, the dread Winter Queen, that she sequestered him into her service where he now creates a fresh masterpiece each night, always trying to outshine his last meal in a desperate effort retain his head. With an inventiveness that defies the gods, he has not only survived but thrived in Queen of Ice and Snow's kitchens, priding himself on having not lost an assistant chef or wait staff to the Queen's displeasure in the past seven decades.
Self proclaimed as the "finest chef in all of Tarien", Briqbex poses a striking figure in any kitchen with iron gray fur over his hoofed legs and a washboard human torso. With a voice to match a drill sergeant he has, for the past century and half plied his trade for the Queen of Air and Darkness, Mayve Snowbound, in her strange winter palace.
