Blenktikopf Nomaninksonsonsonsonson

Nerrid Scientist

There is some debate about which is more fascinating - Blenktikopf's theories of Tarvivkynaltoni or the speed at which he developed those theories after falling victim to a falling rock in Nerridon. The incident caused the Nerrid to notice that nothing ever fell upward. Or sideways. Everything, in fact, always fell down. There must, he reasoned, be some sort of reason for this. He announced this theory to fellow Nerrid scholars who immediately saw its potiental. How had they all missed this fact for millennia? Blenkikopf, flush with capital from curious Nerrid, he set out to explore this theory immediately.

Blenktikopf's fame was rather short lived as he died of head trauma few weeks later, his thoughts on the subject documented in a surprisingly thoughtful four hundred page treatise. Fellow scholars, however, carried on his work, publishing their results, along with his thoughts as the forward, in A Short Investigation of Tarvivkynaltoni in 15 BC. When most across Tarien hear of his theories - even today - they fail to grasp the significance of the discovery. Of course everything falls down. It wouldn't be falling if it fell up, would it? A selection few, however, have found the theory fascinating and commissioned the translation of Blenktikipf and his protégés' work, making him of the most famous Nerrid scholars outside of the Alliance.
