Bhak Ironarms

The First of the Kharlbahk

Bhak was already a legend amongst the irregular Khadric soldiers that travelled the Orkish Hills starting skirmishes with the various tribes that loved ion the region near Ruins of Khardin. Wielding a mighty hammer with a haft "longer than he stood taller that he did," and a head wider than an Ork's head, he terrorized his enemy until he became a tale told in hushed tones around the campfires of Orklish patrols and his name a threat used to make Orkish children behave.

Indeed, his reputation had been cemented by a century of such deeds when a surprise force of Orks and Goblins broke through the city's outer defenses and nearly over ran it. Alone amongst the surviving warriors that had guarded the main gate, Bhak held a narrow tunnel for nearly five hours, giving civilians a change to flee deeper into the city and return with reinforcements, even as Bhak succumbed to his wounds.

In honor of his valiant stand, the clan chiefs bestowed upon him, the Kharl's blessing. Three decades later, a half-dozen young, barely bearded warriors, who had been one of the children to flee, called his name. Filled with the spirit of Bhak, the young warrior carried the day. The tale reached the ears of the Khadric Clan Chiefs, who were already considering some sort of measure to better defend the tunnels of their home. The agreed to create the order of Kharlbhak, warriors devoted to the art of fighting underground who could take responsibility for the protection of Khadrin and its mines.
