A diminutive woman, for an Dharja (she is rumored to have barely topped five feet), Mari managed to change the course of history in the Carboth Desert without even ascending to the pinnacle of her order. Some say that she never was full accepted as a Wella Priestess, and instead merely a concubine of Emir Shazar Findiir. Legend says that she would fall into mystical trances in the harem, drawing with charcoal on tanned skins and chanting feverishly, her eyes sealed doubly shut. Few would deny her impact on history as it was her words that bent the ear of Findiir fist convincing him to scar his own cheeks in the same way she scarred the animal hides during her religious tantrums.
