Howling Peaks

The name of these mountains is more than just a name for the wind. In areas of this range, that wind heralds far more than the cold. Its howl is almost supernatural, predatory even. The Abyssal taint still scars this land, and those regions are full of horrors and nightmares. Beast, tainted and twisted creatures, truly nightmare beasts from beyond reality. However in other regions where the taint is lesser, there are many valuable minerals and stone to harness from the very mountain stone itself. This does not come without risks of course, and those whom make their home within the areas that are habitable find themselves truly at the edge of the frontier, under constant threat, raids coming as often as changes in weather. Be they simple greenskins, monstrous bestials, or terrifying joten, they do come and they will wage battle. So the folk living near these mountains are, by necessity, tough, hardy, and skilled with weapons and survival. Proper frontiers-folk.
