Budthorn Woods

A forest named for its nature and behavior of its conifer trees, which are surprisingly sturdy, the needles surprisingly solid and dangerous. It is a place that still holds sway on the minds of men though, and for good reason. The place did not mend well from the Sundering of the world, and the forest is believed (likely rightfully) to be the home range of a variety of Fell-Fey. Some local legends do tell of ruins in the woods, a forgotten fortress, perhaps even a long lost dwarf-hall along the southern edge of the Howling Peaks. The treasures that might await the bold (or foolish) could likely build an entire kingdom. Though naturally, you'd have to somehow survive and escape with that wealth first.
