New Year's Resolutions 2024 in Tarantellia | World Anvil
Major updates coming to Tarantellia in 2024!

New Year's Resolutions 2024

I wasn't able to complete the New Years' Resolution Challenge this year due to life contraints but I'm looking forward to checking out some of the World Ember articles soon!   In the meantime, here's my Creative resolutions for this year. In the sidebar, you'll see my "Reading to Write" Bingo card. I'm hoping it will help me focus my reading endeavours to books that will help me expand my abilities as a writer. (If you click it, you'll be able to see a larger version of the image.)

Creative New Year's Resolutions

I'm still trying to iron out my New Year's Resolutions. I'm going to break my goals down between the "end goal" and the "actions."

Goal: Study writing

Action: Read 1 Book from a Genre that I don't typically read
Action: Read 2 books to improve my writing
Action: Read 1 Book for Honing my voice
Action: Read 1 challenging book
Action: Read 1 non-fiction book for research

Goal: Kick Imposter Syndrome Ass

Action: Read 1 inspirational book
Action: Edit 100,000 words on Tarantellia
Action: Write 20,000 words for Portals
Action: Write 20,000 words for Project Trashheap
Action: Get Content Ready for Publishing (Priscilla's Potent Pastries and my "Compendium")
Action: Commission Work

Goal: Participate more in WA and 4tw communities

Action: Spend time engaging in the discord servers, less lurking!
Action: Spend active time on twitch during WA Streams, with WA streamers, and with 4tW streamers, less lurking
Action: Read Books from 4tw & WA authors and share reviews online, don't keep those thoughts quiet
^^ To that end, if anyone has a book, throw it in the comments! (Bonus points if there's an audiobook or if I can read with my browser's Read Aloud extension.)

2024 Reading Bingo
My goal with this challenge is accessibility. For me, reading 20 books in a year is easy, given I mostly listen to audiobooks. Between Libby and the ReadAloud browser extension, I don't have to worry as much about reaching my goals.

Rewards

At the moment, I don't have any rewards planned. I was thinking about getting one book per "BINGO." ...but that could get pricey even if I shop at used bookstores. Good thing I have a year to come up with something!   The challenges on this Bingo Card range in difficulty from "read in comfy clothes" to "read 1 challenging book."

btw, I also have an audiobook but the third and final part has been delayed in release due to some frustrating things in life, but I will try to link it once it is complete, if you care to take a listen.
