Fifth Empire

The current iteration of the Tefaran Empire, the Fifth Empire was born of the Queserbashi conquest of Tefaran between 1960-1961, the Fifth Empire is yet unknown how it will be different to the previous empire, however one thing of note is how the Queseri people strictly follow one goddess, the Crimson Queen and have already begun a practice of attempting to spread their faith to the lands of the three rivers.   The Fifth Empire much like the previous empire is divided into several Daresh (Kingdoms) and a few Lazzen (duchies) ruled by locals of that area who in turn swear fealty to the throne in the east, these are:   The City State of Kerahda A semi autonomous city state granted special privileges in the wake of the white library rebellion and due to growing trade with Lafaya. The Daresh of Ker The Daresh of upper Keqan (The Daren of the Confluence) The Daresh of lower Keqan The Daresh of the Zenyas (Between Keqan and Tefer) The Lazzen of Aljan (west of Keqan) The Lazzen of Zinjar (South of Teferaba) The Mercantile Community of Alhass (City on Grainsong Bay)

Demography and Population

In the census that was conducted in 1968 by the new dynasty of the Fifth Empire Tefaran had a total population of roughly 6.5 million people. The population of Tefaran is however very concentrated into the different rivers with higher population density in the west and closer to the coast. While it is estimated that a decent amount of people died in the Queserbash invasion the effect should not have been big enough to have had a significant impact.
