Ladrius grew up much admiring his grandfather, who at the time was pursuing the war against Aldremere. When he took the throne Ladrius sought his own path to glory by pursuing a religious war in the Jewelled Kingdoms. It was during this war that he lost his wife, Magdellena, sending him into a terrible state of depression.
