Completed Goals

Locate missing victims
Type: Secondary objective
Status: Completed
Part of our initial Project   Is Oscorp responsible for the missing victims?   If so, where are they being kept?

Resolution:
While we do not have definitive proofthat Oscorp is responsible for all of the disappearances of ooze patients, we did find all of them in Oscorp custody. This is not a corporation likely to have absorbed a task in process with such a tight timeline. Either they manage the logistics from start to completion, or they pass up the contract. They might allow partners to come work at Oscorp facilities -- see the Society of Rao, in this case -- but Oscorp wants quality control to reduce as many unmanaged complicating factors as possible.   Also if some work is done by outsiders, off Oscorp property, it is a lot simpler to insert data leaks.
Identify tech thieves
Type: Secondary objective
Status: Completed
developed after research among Metropolis street level spotters

Who has been committing tech raids on LexCorp facilities within central Metropolis, particularly LexTech and LexLabs? Furthermore, who commissioned those thefts?

Resolution:
Update: AIM has been committing these tech raids, at direction of Dr. Hogan Grimm. Also have robbed Hammer Empire stashes in warehouses and safehouses.

Find the Supplier
Type: Secondary objective
Status: Completed
determined after initial site survey prior to team action   Deduce the source of Oscorp’s sudden supply of ultra-high tech devices and meta-powered security.   Are they from nefarious sources?
(Probably yes.)
Can we find and record/preserve evidence suitable for an anonymous tip to the Feds?

Party Notes:

Supplier one:

  • LexCorp

Supplier two:

Supplier three:

  • Unverified. Some supplies may have been acquired "locally" in other locations by AIM agents, then transported by semi-legal means to Metropolis. For example: the ghost orchids may have been sourced by poaching in Vibora Bay.
  •
  • The "secret buyer" may have provided some materials in addition to their own customized component.

Resolution:

While we still have question marks for the report, we have limited means to investigate most of those. We can arrange to pass these side inquiries off to other supergroups.

The biggest remaining blank in our report is the previous identity of the victim we discovered in Grimm's lair. That is likely to require time, patience, and extralegal access to the current century's records of patients with certain life-threatening medical conditions.

Brownouts
Type: Secondary objective
Status: Completed
assigned by employer   What caused brownouts in October in the Ironworks area of northeastern Metropolis?

Resolution:
Thanks to investigative teamwork, particularly some poking around by Dr. B, we can probably pin this one on the miniature hydroelectric generators we found. They were sandwiched above the drop ceiling tiles within the southern "front area" of Lincoln Industries. They diverted water from the city's hydrant-and-fire-suppression delivery system. To get enough sustained water flow, the installer had overridden the limiters that should have set off alarms and eventually stopped the constant flow.
Identify Instigator
Type: Primary Objective
Status: Completed
part of initial project briefing   If Oscorp is actually operating a new “super soldier” project, who is the secret buyer?   This is actually a two-part assignment!   1a) Confirm that Oscorp is doing a military metahuman processing project.   OR   1b) Find definitive proof of what's really going on instead, because while we cannot prove a negative, we CAN prove an alternative.   2a) Identify buyer/funder/commissioner of military metahuman enhancement process.   2b) Check to see if there's more than one!

Resolution:

We found evidence strongly indicative that al Ghul, the ruling leader of an international terrorist organization, was the secret buyer.

Unfortunately: most of our "proof" is a living person, a minor, whom we have placed in an appropriate foster home for her safe recovery.

As an alternative, we have less-then-ideal proof in the form of Grimm's spotty laboratory notes. We have documentation of some equipment, most of which we needed to leave in place for Metropolis SCU to "discover" and supervise while MPD Forensics carefully analyzes and dismantles it. We have several attempts by Medkit to draw Grimm into monologuing.

Maybe Metropolis SCU can get Jack-in-Irons to do some monologuing, in the process providing testimony against his contractor?

Address for AIM holding facility
Type: Primary Objective
Status: Completed
Inherent to this Project when first picked up by Dr. A   We need pointers for where AIM is holding Trevor Finn prisoner!
Field Lead Note: Which we should be getting within the hour, because now we are meeting up with Trevor Finn himself.

Party Notes:
Trevor and Grant have gotten addresses for 2 critical locations on Grimm's Green Plan map: Five blocks north of this meeting spot is a ten story office building. Supposedly Grimm is using the 10th floor there.   Second location is a junkyard on the west side of the Ironworks District. Old tech, like decommissioned Star Labs tech is often dumped there.

Resolution:
While we were looking for Trevor, Trevor and his "minder" Grant found us. They had another quest for us -- one on which they were foundering due to insufficient resources. They needed Wyldfire's help to prevent Grimm's diabolical plot to "green" Metropolis.
The Tech Loot
Type: Tertiary Objective
Status: Completed
  from AIM:
  • A couple of datadiscs,
  • a baton,
  • a commset,
  • whatever is in pouches of 1st guy's utility belt

Resolution:
turned in whatever still existed to Special Projects inventory at end of mission   like the responsible angels we are
Save the Sibling!
Type: Secondary Objective
Primary Objective
Status: Completed
Oscorp tech Robin Finn identified herself to Dr. A, making clear she knew Dr. A was not actually an employee at the Oscorp Metropolis facility. While Dr. A was helping stabilize Ms. Finn's ooze-induced mutations, Ms. Finn explained she has been forced by Advance Research Mechanics to be a double agent at Oscorp.   Robin's brother "Trevor Finn" is a hostage in AIM custody!   Robin will give Dr. A any help she can provide, if in turn Dr. A will commit to a rescue mission.   We arranged for Robin Finn to get hired away by a smaller research laboratory in Metropolis, one where our boss has some hidden influence. Now we need access to AIM resource management software so we can figure out where Trevor might be contained.

Resolution:
Job completed!   Assigned as a Special Project with Project Manager Dr. A, who initially picked this up as a Side Quest.
Orchids
Type: Tertiary objective
Status: Completed
Developed from preliminary research by Amythyst and the Science Team   Why is AIM trying to hire orchid specialists all of a sudden? What do they plan on doing with Ghost Orchids from Vibora Bay, Louisiana?

Resolution:
see Dr. Beast and the Science Team for details
Meeting Crashers
Type: really abrupt secondary objective, almost urgent enough to become primary
Status: Completed
Who invited Team Luthor?!   Nobody! That's who!   This invasion consists of 2 Team Luthor operatives, each of whom smashed into the building with a pair of Team Luthor combat drones. The drones look like green (of course) robots of about the same proportions as Black Anvil of Metropolis SCU

Party Notes:
The Team Luthor guys can repair their drones with a green Nanite Mist!

Resolution:
Team Luthor invited themselves by hacking Wyldfire comms and tracing them.   They did this because they were robbed by AIM. Luthor wants the crystals back. Is he attempting multiverse nonsense?!   We followed protocol for the encryption break. We had our gear replaced and the compromised equipment properly disposed. We had ourselves checked for tracing substances before we returned to base or went to protected locations. Perhaps a Special Project should be set up (by personnel who are Not Us) to reinforce the prohibitive nature of the costs associated with cracking into our privacy?

Dr. Hogan Grimm
Type: New and Exciting Primary Objective
Status: Completed
Past of Medkit. Enemy - believed in combining plants and human genetics and has been exiled from The Island for improper scientific practices.

Resolution:
We apprehended him. He shall be turned over to the proper experts for rehabilitations. You have those here, right?

Covatrinium
Type: Tertiary Objective
Status: Completed
From San Sebastian swamp by Viboro bay. Brice corporation has the patent. Metal that retains shape under extreme stress.   How did it get here?   What is the purpose?

Resolution:
AIM stole a shipment from Brice Corporation site in Vibora Bay, Louisiana. They shipped it to Metropolis overland.   Its purpose is to support the endoskeleton for the moss creatures, and it may have been used in the Chroniton Generator along with these Focusing Crystals taken from LexLabs.
